It's Beginning to Look A lot Like Christmas

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
Noah helped put the lights on the tree. I love all his facial expressions. He has seemed to really open up with his new ear. He seems a lot more engaged with his world.
Noah went to a party at the Roadhouse with his class. He seemed a bit overwhelmed with all the noise.
After this picture was taken I had to untangle his fingers from Santa's beard. Sorry Santa.....
These 3 boys were so sweet. They came over and talked to Noah and treated him like a good friend. They were so interested in his cochlear implant. This picture doesn't show it but it was the only time Noah smiled while he was there. He really enjoyed interacting with his new friends.

Noah Having Fun at School

Noah had fun making Christmas Ornaments at school this last week.
Although anything that resembles cooking is so much fun to him.
I love looking at this picture of Noah. He is looking at his school work so intently, with such good head control.

Shelby Whippet Basketball

Noah was so excited to be watching the Shelby Whippet boy basketball teams. Emily said that he was very excited all day at school. When I asked him at the game if he was ready for some basketball, he said "Yes" (long blink) He couldn't stop smiling at the game. The best part was that the freshman, JV and Varsity won. Go Shelby!!!!!

What a Crazy Week

What a crazy week traveling to Montreal for ABR therapy. From a strange man coming in our hotel room to driving around the big storm in Buffalo. The drive usually takes me about 11 hrs. This time it took me 18 hrs to get home. I usually stop in Hamburg New York for the night and drive the rest of the way home the next day. This week  we stopped just outside of Toronto, Canada. We got one of the last rooms at a Residence Inn. It was a great place to rest and for Noah to have fun swimming. I was amazed how much better Noah is swimming. I took a video that you can view if you click on this link.

Before we had left for Montreal Noah started running a fever.I took him to the doctor before we left and was told it was just a virus. While gone Noah continued to blow out a lot of mucus. On Saturday morning, after we had returned home, Noah woke up with his cheek swollen. Back to the doctor we went and he was diagnosed with a acute sinus infection. Poor little guy can't catch a break.
This morning he was looking much better. When I get our ABR progress report I will post it here.

A Great Week

We started off the week with Noah not not feeling well on my birthday. Scott, Noah and I had a quiet evening at home, enjoying our time together.

On Wednesday Noah was feeling a bit better so we met Morgan and Brad at Legend's.
I  had a great time celebrating with Emily and Scott's Mom too.
Sometimes in life things don't work out as we had originally planned but, in the end it works out just perfect. Morgan and Emily both work on Mondays and wouldn't have been able to celebrate with us. With Noah being sick we had to wait a few days. I love spending time with my family.
