Such a Hard Decision

This last week we have made a very hard decision. We have a decided to have Bindi switched out for a different dog. I was really hoping I could get her to settle down in time but I came to realize that wasn't going to happen.
When we are out and about Bindi is very nervous and takes so much of my time away from Noah.
She does wonderful at home and has always been all about Noah.
When we are out and about I would take the strap of her vest and loop it around Noah's seat belt on his chair to try and keep her from doing a lap dance on Noah's lap. Sadly that didn't stop her from doing her lap dance but instead wore the fur off of her shoulder. That's when I realized that we can't keep Bindi. It will take time to find a new dog but until then we will enjoy Bindi at home.

A Day at with the Columbus Crew

It was great day to watch a Columbus Crew game.
Bindi did okay  but she tends to be on high alert of anticipation of the fun that is ahead.
The game ended in a tie. 1-1
It was a great day spent with my good friend Susan. thanks for spending the day with us.
Bindi tends to do better sometimes under Noah's chair.

Bindi's Progress

From day one Bindi has been all about Noah. She has been very good for Noah when it comes to  doctors appointments and his surgery.

She is still  doing so well with Noah's therapy. In fact she knows when it's time and jumps up and lays right down.
I've been working with her at home on getting under his chair and staying. This will help when we are out and about when I need to feed Noah or when we are at a doctors appointments when she needs to be off his lap.
Before she would be standing up or being in the way. I would tell her to lay down and she would for maybe 2 seconds.

I'm happy to say that our work at home is paying off. She is doing so much better. I've taken her to the food pantry and to a restaurant and she did so well.   I believe there is hope for her yet. :)

A Day at the Zoo

We started out our day taking cookies to Shelby's emergency room where Noah always receives great care. This was part of Core Community Church's community impact day. Noah and also took some cookies to his barber on Tuesday when he went to get his haircut.
We then went to pick up our friends James Miller and Eting Wang up and we headed to the zoo for the day.We had a beautiful day to enjoy the zoo.

It was fun watching the twin polar bears.

Noah and Bindi enjoyed the sunshine and watching the fish in the aquarium.

All the primates eyed Bindi and wouldn't leave her alone.

Even the mandrills eyed her and followed us all around the exhibit. You can really see the fear in Bindi here. Poor girl.....
Thanks James and Eting for spending the day with us. We had fun.

OSU Basketball Day

Finally a fun day after all the appointments this month.
Noah really enjoys watching the boys shoot around.

Micah Potter took the time to say Hi to Noah and he remembered him from last year. He said all the boys are adjusting to the change in coaching and they are getting ready for a great season that starts in 70 days.

I'm sure you noticed that Bindi wasn't in any of the pictures Scott posted yesterday. We decided to give Bindi the day off. It was actually nice getting a break from her. She does a wonderful job keeping Noah less anxious and she sure does look cute on his lap but she struggles sometimes. She can be skittish and also gives Noah a lap dance when we are going from one thing to the next. This is why I was asking about  a trainer a few weeks ago. I have never really trained a dog before and had actually thought Bindi would come to us fully trained. I've been working with her on my own. She is doing much better then when we first got her but still has some work to do.

Bindi sure was glad to see Noah when we got home last night, she didn't want  to leave his side.                                                                Noah was happy to see her too.

A Day at the Cleveland Clinic

Noah had a check up with his pulmonologist Dr. Royce. Noah got a lung X-ray after a good report. He sounded so good right now that Doctor Royce wanted a new baseline X-ray.
After our appointment we went to lunch at the Great Northern Mall. I have to make note here how much  I love their changing stations in the bathroom. They are so handicap accessible. No need to to change Noah on the floor. I wish more places were just as accessible.
After lunch we went to see the movie 49 Meters Down. It was fun to go to a movie today but I don't think either one of us enjoyed it much.

ABR Spring Training 2017

We had a great ABR trip to Toronto.
Bindi was the best traveler.

Bindi learning what she needs to do to help Noah during therapy.

I say she is doing a pretty good job. They are both asleep. Usually Noah is very agitated while we are at training.

Noah/Bindi

Noah and Bindi have busy getting out in the community.
They have gone to Dalton's AAU basketball games.
They went to go see Guardian's Of The Galaxy together.
Bindi is never to far from Noah. This is her waiting while I feed Noah.
She loves to sit on his lap.
It's been so neat to watch their relationship grow.
